Description
We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Alta Rancho Pet Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, California.- Salary: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
- Schedule: Full-time, 5/8-hour shifts, some Saturday coverage required.
- Location: 8677 19th St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 917010

Who You Are:
- 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire required
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with small animals, birds, exotics, and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species
- Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or outdoor setting
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, radiographs, extractions, suturing
- Skilled in IV Catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
- Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
- Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
- And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
