Kennebunk Veterinary HospitalKennebunk Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistant to our collaborative and relationship-driven team in beautiful Southern Maine.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior veterinary experience who is eager to grow their skills, expand their medical knowledge, and become part of a supportive, team-oriented environment. Credentialing is not required, but we are looking for someone who is proactive, curious, dependable, and genuinely passionate about patient care and veterinary medicine.

We are a four-doctor small animal practice that has spent more than 30 years building long-standing relationships within our community. Many of our clients have trusted us with their family's pets for generations - caring for grandparents, parents, children, and now even grandchildren's pets over the years.

Training and support will be provided, and our team is committed to helping the right person continue developing professionally while expanding their hands-on experience and medical knowledge.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
- Supporting appointments, patient restraint, and exam room flow
- Preparing and cleaning surgical and treatment areas
- Assisting with laboratory samples, radiographs, and general nursing care
- Client communication and education
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Helping create a positive, efficient, and supportive environment for patients, clients, and teammates

Compensation: Compensation for this position ranges from $20-$25/hour and is based on experience, skill level, and overall veterinary background.

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
- Previous experience in the veterinary industry is not required but strong preferred
